Kaipoa Basket

A handwoven paper rope basket built from concentric rings of colour, each band shifting tone in a slow gradient from burgundy through gold, sage and navy. The weave's regularity and the basket's perfectly circular form give it a graphic, almost meditative quality, equally suited to display flat on a wall or filled and set on a console.

This item is hand-made, making each piece unique. Minor variations in form, texture and colour/tone are to be expected.
