Shoku Prep Board

The process behind the ARTSN board - individually charred over an open flame, using the Yakisugi technique, it is then carefully brushed to uncover the hidden grain revealed only through fire. Once complete, it’s sealed with food-grade mineral oil and hardwax, and thoroughly inspected before shipping. There’s no assembly line here—no shortcuts, no machines replacing skilled hands.

The mission is simple: honour craftsmanship, embrace simplicity, and reflect Japanese minimalism in every piece. Products created and made to last.

The Shoku Prep Board is a straight-edged rectangular form with integrated handle and hanging hole, scaled down to 35 x 20cm for smaller kitchens, quick daily prep, or use as a secondary board alongside a larger surface.

At this size it moves easily from bench to table, doubles as a neat cheese or snack board for one or two, and stores without taking up much space.

Care:
Hand wash with warm water and mild soap. Do not soak or put in dishwasher. Dry immediately. Oil or wax monthly to maintain the board.
