Mud Australia's best-selling silhouette, the Pebble Bowl has an origin story worth knowing. It began as a happy accident — founder Shelley Simpson was prototyping a lamp base when it broke in two during firing, revealing a beautifully proportioned flat-bottomed bowl. The Medium is the everyday workhorse of the series: wide and shallow with a generous flat base, it sits somewhere between a plate and a bowl and handles everything from pasta and salads to oven-roasted dishes brought straight to the table.

In Pistachio, a soft, muted green with subtle warmth, it brings an understated freshness to the table setting. Handmade in Mud Australia's Sydney studio from Limoges porcelain, the pigment is tinted into the clay body at slip stage for depth of colour throughout. Slight irregularities in size, glaze and texture are an inherent quality of the handmade process and should be embraced.
