Small Oval Platter | Octopus

Founded by Alexandra Heard and Heleena Trahanas, Alex and Trahanas is a lifestyle project and design studio born from a deep love for the staggering beauty of Mediterranean summer. Sunlit terraces, seaside trattorias and tavernas, long lunches in linen with delicious food and wine — all shared with friends and family — form the heart of their world.

Painted with a playful octopus in blue, yellow and white, this small oval platter brings a burst of painterly character to aperitivo hour. Hand-painted by artisans in Puglia, its compact form suits antipasti, olives or a scattering of small bites, doubling as a decorative piece when the table is cleared. Every platter carries its own subtle variations in glaze and brushwork, the mark of a piece made entirely by hand.
