Etsu Board
A large, near-circular cutting board finished using Yakisugi — the traditional Japanese technique of preserving wood through controlled charring. The surface is burned to a deep onyx, opening the teakwood grain into a raised, tactile texture that makes every board visually unique. The charred carbon layer is naturally water-repellent and antimicrobial: liquids bead off the surface rather than penetrating, and bacteria cannot take hold the way it can in untreated timber.
At 33 x 35cm, the Etsu is generously proportioned for both prep and presentation — equally at home as a charcuterie board, a bread and cheese platter, or a daily kitchen workhorse. Finished with food-grade mineral oil and a beeswax and carnauba wax blend. Made from responsibly sourced teakwood in partnership with skilled artisans.

Care: Hand wash with warm water and mild soap. Do not soak or put in dishwasher. Dry immediately. Oil or wax monthly to maintain the board.
