Claire Foord - 'Awaken'

For SALA 2018 Claire provides a touch of studio meets gallery, with sketches beside finished works, where ethereal meets splashes of colour. It’s a reawakening from comfortable beginnings.

'Life is cyclical. A circle imprinted by moments in life that transform and shape who we are. Important people support and standby, some come, some go, lasting or fleeting. Colours, sounds and scents have an ability to evoke memories and transport us back moments, feelings and thoughts of what once was, but we can only truly be in the present, and see things through our own eyes, right now, this moment, is yours, nobody else’s.'

Claire Foord is an Australian visual artist. Her work is part of private collections in Australia, America, Canada and England. Claire was recognized in the Australian of the Year Awards as South Australia’s Local Hero recipient.
